Mary Blair (1911-1978) produced concept art and color styling for such Disney films as Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland, as well as character designs for the Disneyland Resort attraction It's a Small World. Her prominent sense of art earned not only the trust of Walt Disney, but has also exerted a profound influence on a wide range of media, including picture books and package designs, and still commands the respect of numerous professional creators today. With the cooperation of Studio Ghibli, this exhibition will present the life and art of a woman who lived in colors, through some 500 artworks and related materials.
