Yugo Kohrogi "Melting Point"

Artists

Yugo Kohrogi
Yugo Kohrogi is a painter who portrays sexy female images with melting, whipped cream-like brushstrokes. Rather than expressing the inherent sweetness of the subject, this melting touch represents the lustful gaze of the viewer that flickers like a flame. Kohrogi's work thus conveys a raw masculine presence, creating a dramatic contrast with its elegant hue and texture achieved through thinly applied paint.

This exhibition is composed solely of Kohrogi's new work. His new work will also be introduced at the 57th Tokyo University of the Arts Graduation and Completion Work Exhibition being held at the university from February 21st through February 26th. This is a great opportunity to view a series of highly-refined works by Kohrogi, who is finishing up his Master's this year.
