Tatsumi Shimura
On view are portraits of beautiful women by Tatsumi Shimura (1907-80), a painter known for his illustration work for the novel "Tange Sazen" and magazines. Depicting girls and geishas in the context of everyday living, the 30 paintings reveal Shimura's unique sense of aesthetics.
