A new collaboration of Alexander Gelman with Yamanaka Urushi and Kutani-yaki masters gave birth to a gorgeous chess set. Sophisticated materials such as jet black lacquer, gold, platinum, and natural wood came together to achieve the glamorous form. Gelman's design sensibility was fully visualized by the tradtional lacquer craftsmen of Ishikawa Prefecture.
