Tokyo Midtown Design Touch is a design event that started in 2007 with the aim of promoting the
"enjoyment of design through the five senses".
The theme for this 3rd installment is "realizing dreams through design". You can get on an air balloon designed more than 200 years ago, which fulfilled the dreams of people who wanted to fly, focusing on how design has long been about realizing the dreams of people. Visitors can also enjoy an exhibition of designs by "Ideo", an innovation and design firm with an internationally renowned reputation, along with presentations on the design process.
Other features include design events held at interior & design stores around Tokyo and design-related seminars. The winners of the Tokyo Midtown Award 2009 will also be announced and exhibited during the exhibition period.
