Artists

Jean Pierre Cassigneul
Jean Pierre Cassigneul was discovered in Paris by the gallery's president Kiyoshi Tamenaga nearly half a century ago. Tamenaga was organizing at the time, during 1960s, "International Figurative Exhibition" bringing up-and-coming artist to Tokyo from around the world. Cassigneul was presented for the first time in 1966 and immediately became known throughout Japan and continues to be one of the most loved painters of our times.

Cassigneul and Tamenaga became close friends and for this exhibition the painter prepared 50 new works to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the gallery.
