Bunkamura celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. This exhibition looks back on the circumstances and historical background surrounding the institution. Straddling two centuries, Bunkamura has continually striven to tackle new challenges in its activities and programming, striking a balance between constancy and trends.
Divided into four parts, each section will tackle a different theme and era and showcase posters and flyers, as well as texts from key members of staff and cast from various past performances. Also on display are significant diagrams, photographs, models, design drawings, costumes and props. This is a valuable opportunity to gain an overview of the past 20 years of Bunkamura's cultural programs.
