Artists

Verner Panton
Danish designer Verner Panton (1926-98) is perhaps best known for his Panton Chair, formed as a single piece in colourful plastic, but he has worked with other renowned Danish designers such as Poul Henningsen and Arne Jacobsen, and has produced a great many significant designs.

His work ranged from furniture and product design to architecture and exhibition design, leaving a strong mark on the history of modern design in the 1960s and 70s. Panton's unconventional forms and vivid colours still retain their excitement today.

This exhibition presents some of the Vitra Design Museum's collection of his work, including furniture, lighting, textiles, models, drawings, and video. A total of 150 exhibits combine to give a comprehensive view of Panton's life's work.
