"Wild Nature and Creativity -'Perceptional Changes' and 'Imagination' of Asahiyama Zoo" Talk Event

BankArt Studio NYK
Finished
By introducing "active exhibition" with which the real modes of life and habits of animals are presented, the Asahiyama Zoo in Hokkaido climbed out of its crisis and has won a nationwide fame, drawing 3 million visitors a year. Citing a variety of new ideas this super zoo has generated, such as "one point guide" in which zookeepers introduce intriguing episodes around animals, "zoo passport", "night zoo" and "zoo in the snow (penguin walk)", this talk event considers perceptional changes, the power of imagination and creativity to produce something different, as well as the system to foster these elements.
