Itami International Crafts Exhibition

Lifestyle Design Center
Finished
The Museum of Arts & Crafts in Itami, a center of sake production, holds biannual exhibitions of jewelry, sake vessels and tables. In 2008, the museum focused on sake vessels and received submissions from 356 creators. In the end, a total of 528 works by 99 artists, including 11 foreign artists, were selected for their exhibition. Despite the theme of the competition, a wide variety of works was submitted not only from Japan but also overseas.

As a set of cups and a table that accompany a joyful moment over sake shared by a group of people, these works hold not only visual beauty, but a convivial occasion for appreciating the profundity of sake culture.
