Together with D&AD, a non-profit organization representing the international design, advertising and communications industries, Ad Museum Tokyo has been holding D&AD Awards exhibitions since 2007 and "D&AD Awards 2009" is the third in the series.
D&AD has been recognizing and introducing truly outstanding creative work to the world under the slogan, "For Excellence, For Education, For Enterprise and Not for Profit". Its name signifies one of the most renowned international awards, known for its extremely high standards. The Black Pencil awards, the highest level of award, are presented exclusively to work with a revolutionary level of creativity. This year, only 4 works received this honor. Yellow Pencil awards are given to work demonstrating creative excellence. Entries from Japan received Yellow Pencil awards in environmental design, mobile marketing, online advertising, packaging design and website.
The environment surrounding us has been going through radical changes and we are at a turning point. It is our sincere wish that we all will be inspired and stimulated by the power delivered by the creative work on exhibition at the museum.
