The Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial is distinctive in how its works relate directly to the surroundings and the people who live there. Many works from its first installment in 2001 still remain, and over 350 works will be included this year.
Art Front Gallery will present works by artist who have participated in the past or will participate this year, pieces that are completely different from those on display at the Triennial. This will allow visitors to discover a new side of the artists and to get a fleeting glimpse into the thoughts of the artists as they prepare to install their new works.
