The Vehicle
At a clothing shop, trying out new clothes and seeing oneself in a mirror, one might start to imagine oneself in a magazine or movie, or feel like someone else, a new self. Art unit The Vehicle considers an apparel shop as a place for anyone to start making up their own story.

"That's the Story of His/Her Life" is a text piece installed on the mirror of a fitting room. Phrases that could be used in a movie come into sight when looking at the mirror, creating a moment that calls to mind a scene from a movie. Also on view is a series of photographs entitled "Blue Back," in which blurred landscapes are captured. They are reminiscent of background scenes in a movie, prompting the viewers to come up with their own narratives.

The Vehicle explores the imaginative realm which emerges between their work and the viewers. Their work serves as a means to connect reality and a movie-like fictional world. They aim to highlight the self-consciousness of the viewers, paralleled with "another reality" we are all familiar with growing up watching movies and TV.
