"The History of Car Design - Nissan: the Beauty of Passion and Functionality" Exhibition

Hiratsuka Museum of Art
Finished
The automobile industry is one of the fundamental industries in the contemporary world and cars are familiar to us as an essential item in everyday life. There has however been a lack of exhibitions that looked at the history of their design. With the help of Nissan Motors, and for the first time in a museum, this exhibition will trace the history of the design of Japanese cars, from the days in which Japan sought to learn from the west to the current days where Japan is presenting unique designs to the world. On view are rare clay models, scale models and sketches as well as historical cars.
