This exhibition of visual art by Voivodina-based artists is curated by Serbian curator and critic Sava Stepanov, who has organized numerous international exhibitions. Voivodina is an autonomous region home to the cultural city of Novi Sad, located 70 km north of Belgrade. Because of its proximity to the Hungarian border, Voivodina has been strongly influenced by Hungarian culture, and is also blessed with fertile soil, water and strong sunlight. Hopefully this show will bring audiences closer to something other than the stories of conflict and strife that saturate the mass media when it comes to this region.
