Yoko Asakai
Yoko Asakai's new series of work, "Conversations", documents her visits to scientific research laboratories, during which she takes photos of researchers absorbed in their work. Color photos of tools and equipment used in their experiments are interwoven with black and white photos of scenes that resemble fragments from their research. These "travels" into uncharted territory thus constitute Asakai's photographic "conversations" with these scientists.
