Toyoshige Watanabe
Toyoshige Watanabe (b.1931) is known for his humorous works freely traversing the genres of painting, print, and sculpture, which are composed of clear-cut forms such as ovals, cloud, or star shapes and bright colors. The current exhibition focuses on works descending from the Oni trilogy. In addition to approximately 30 variations of the Oni, which are his latest works made for this exhibition, there are also drawings related to the Oni.
