Noburo Ofuji
Noburo Ofuji was a film director who made animated films using paper cutouts starting in the early Taisho era. After WWII, he won international recognition for his colorful shadow picture films created using colored cellophane. This program, which is being held in conjunction with an exhibition of archival materials from Ofuji's personal collection, showcases 33 of his films (and 2 related works) divided into 6 parts.
