This exhibition showcases work by 10 French photographers who have maintained a strong connection to Japan for a long time.
Situating themselves far from the cliches and exoticism associated with a country often fantasized about, these 10 photographers have adopted Japan as their home country and sought to capture something of its depth and complexity. Each of these 10 series of work, poised between documentary, art photography and photojournalism, relates a singular story and a unique lived experience.
