"28th Ueno Royal Museum Grand Prize Exhibition"

Ueno Royal Museum
Finished
The Ueno Royal Museum Art Competition started in 1983 with the aim of unearthing young Japanese talents who would lead the future of the Japanese art scene. Transcending differences in media and modes of expression, the competition offers an opportunity for the general public to submit their 2D works.

After the Ueno Royal Museum, this traveling exhibition will also be held at the Fukuoka Prefectural Museum of Art, the Hakone Open Air Museum and the Museum of Kyoto. Additionally, the Grand Prize winner will be given an opportunity to hold a solo exhibition in 2012. Moreover, all prize winners' exhibitions will take place in 2011, showcasing their new works.
