"Ukiyo-e Afterglow: Famous Woodblock Prints from the Meiji Era" Exhibition

On display are numerous "kaika-e" from the Meiji period of Japan's westernization, including representative works by woodblock print masters Kiyochika Kobayashi and Yoshitoshi Tsukioka, as well as multi-colored prints from the late Meiji era, a transitional period in the development of printmaking as a medium.
