Jakuchu Ito "Another World"

Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Jakuchu Ito
Jakuchu Ito (1716-1800) has become a familiar name among art lovers in recent years primarily for his resplendent, richly colored paintings, but the ink paintings that comprise the majority of his posthumous body of work have yet to receive serious critical attention. This exhibition focuses on Ito's ink paintings as well as related color works.
