In this exhibition, various "beach animals" created by the Dutch artist Theo Jansen will be introduced from a scientific perspective. Jansen's "beach animals", the largest of which measure up to 12 meters long, are made out of wood, PET bottles and plastic tubing, and move like an animal when exposed to wind. On display are 13 of these works including the "Siamesis" (9 meters), which is being exhibited for the first time anywhere, two large-sized works, two small-sized ones (4 meters) and nine previous works.
