Shuzo Azuchi Gulliver
Shuzo Azuchi Gulliver was born in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. He began experimenting with art and began staging Happenings while still in high school. He studied philosophy at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto and was greatly influenced by the work of Marcel Duchamp.

After moving to Tokyo in 1967, Gulliver based himself in Shinjuku, pursuing a variety of experimental artistic activities and screening films that addressed issues related to the body, time and materiality.

In conjunction with a comprehensive solo exhibition of his work that is being held at the Museum of Modern Art, Shiga, NADiff is exhibiting a range of Gulliver's groundbreaking ideas in its basement space.
