Takashi Yagi "Yume Utsutsu"

Yuka Tsuruno Gallery
Finished

Artists

Takashi Yagi
This exhibition features 10 of Yagi's most recent wooden sculptures, including "Okaretaniji (laid rainbow)". These works, which were made by bending resin-fixed colored pencils, draw abstract lines in an effort to seek out a moment in which figure and colors meet. Yagi focuses on the process by which material transforms into sculpture - an act that he says is "just like drawing a picture."
These imaginative works will expand your consciousness and invite you into a world of "Yume Utsutsu" - in a state between dreaming and waking.
