Koki Miwa typically begins planning and creating work for his shows by taking familiar objects around him as motifs for his wooden carvings and sculptures. The process of actually sculpting is like a mise-en-place preparatory phase for his "cooking". This 3rd solo show focuses on his working process, showcasing preliminary wooden carvings and stones and rocks he encountered over the course of making his work.
