An exhibition introducing new and recently-produced visual artworks by nine up-and-coming image artists from Japan and abroad, with the aim of exploring the connection between society and the self. In addition to several Japanese who have recently captured the limelight, ATM will introduce the works of several foreign artists with burgeoning reputations but who have never had their works exhibited in Japan before.

At times, images captivate viewers by acting as critical tools, while at other times they attract us by describing mental images or phenomena that cannot be seen. This exhibition utilizes the ability of images to make hidden aspects visible, shedding light on them, opening our eyes to aspects of society or the soul that we are not usually aware of. Images thus produce/assist the act of "reflection" in the sense of looking at things carefully and reflecting upon them.
