Chikkyo Ono
Chikkyo Ono (1889-1979) was a member of the National Painting Association (Kokuga Sosaku Kyokai) that was founded in Kyoto in 1918, known for his efforts to bring reform and a new innovative approach to the world of nihonga painting. This retrospective exhibition commemorates the 120th anniversary of Ono's birth, looking back on his 75 year career through a showcase of 119 paintings and 52 sketches, including 11 previously unexhibited works.
