Yoshiko Kita
Yoshiko Kita is a Kyoto-based artist. Her watercolor works are realized beautifully on cloth, making effective use of its particular texture and feel. As a result of the pigment getting absorbed by the cloth, her palette also becomes more subdued. The sight of the pastoral refuges depicted in these works slowly creep into the deepest recesses of the viewer's mind.
