Artists

Asao Tokolo
Tokolo is an artist who pursues the beauty of form by studying the regularity of numbers and graphics. As such, many of his pieces incorporate interconnected images made out of geometric patterns or encoded words. For example, at this exhibition there will be a pieces titled "Kumapong", a drawing of a bear's face based on the golden rule. Not only can viewers enjoy the many expressions of Kumapong through the different placement of the circles, some pieces are also decorated with gold leaf - a humorous reference to his use of the "golden" rule.

Also on display are works that Tokolo presented at the "MOT Annual 2010" exhibition from January to April 2010 and several other projects that Tokolo has undertaken over the course of his career. The artist will also be present at the gallery to work on several ongoing pieces over the course of the exhibition, and give a talk in the company of a special guest.
