Kanako Oya
Kanako Oya was born and raised in Kanagawa, Japan. She received a B.A. degree in Painting from Tokyo Zokei University in 2006 and an M.A. degree from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2008. She was awarded a grand prize from The Gumma Biennale for Young Artists in 2008.
Her works are currently on display at “Oxidized Reality- 7 Artists from The Gumma Biennale for Young Artists” (Museum of Modern Art, Gumma). 10 new paintings will be on display at this exhibition.
