Masakuni Murakami "es anschauen"

Nikon Salon Bis
Finished

Artists

Masakuni Murakami
On display are photos of Bitterfeld, a town in the former East Germany situated about 20 minutes by train from Leipzig that used to be a flourishing center for the manufacture of chemical compounds. However, it is now known as perhaps the most polluted city in Europe, thanks to the polluted smoke and other emissions produced by its factories. Although these industrial facilities were later demolished, traces of their legacy have been captured in these 40 photographs.
