Lisa Kohno
Lisa Kohno, who won the Shu Uemura Prize at Art Award Tokyo Marunouchi 2009 last year, depicts utopia in her works. The women that appear in her works seem to be self-portraits, but in fact they represent a transcendent eternal existence that Kohno longs after. On display at this exhibition are paintings that depict flowers in bloom and amorous figures with immortal lives that seem to be flowers personified.
