This exhibition looks back at the career of the painter Keisuke Sugano (1909-1963). Sugano left for Europe in 1935 and studied painting in Grenoble, France. After returning to Japan in 1937, Sugano won high acclaim for his painting Flanders Fortress at the Dokuritsu Exhibition. This exhibition offers viewers a comprehensive look back at his past work, and features a selection of works newly discovered in recent years.
