Linda Hoaglund
This historical documentary by Linda Hoaglund explores how artists created work in response to the heated political atmosphere of 1960, when Japan was under the US mutual security treaty (known as the "Anpo" treaty in Japanese). In the month leading up to June 1960, when the security treaty was automatically renewed under the Nobusuke Kishi administration, citizen protests and demonstrations erupted in the vicinity of the National Diet building.
