"Cinema Africa 2010" Exhibition

National Film Archive of Japan
Finished
2010 is a special year for Africa; the World Cup was held in Africa for the first time and more than a dozen countries celebrate their 50th anniversary of independence. Also, 2010 marks the Centennial Year for official South Africa-Japan relations. To celebrate this special year for Africa, the National Film Center and the Committee of Cinema Africa will co-host Cinema Africa 2010, an African film festival.

The festival will screen 32 recent African films (19 programs), including feature films, documentaries and short films. During the festival, seven filmmakers and producers from Africa and overseas will join the screenings, director's talks and filmmakers’ forum. Welcome to Cinema Africa 2010!
