In his book "Sculpting In Time", film director Andrei Tarkovsky writes that "time cannot disappear without leaving a trace of itself, because it is a spiritual and emotional condition with a subjective meaning. The time that we have lived through remains lodged in our soul in the form of an experience that unravels over a certain period of time."
Kwon Oh-Shin's works are representations of these "mental images" that remain as a trace of time lived. Bojung Park, on the other hand, acknowledges the time experienced in the process of creating a work through multiple layers of pigment.
