Masanori Handa
For Handa, the substance of an object is not a fixed certainty. Rather, matter is something that is in perpetual flux. His work is derived from the sensations he receives from a variety of different local landscapes and environments. By continuously opening up his senses to the exhilaration of each new place and giving himself to them, Handa waits to see how the world will manifest itself.

This exhibition features works inspired by the cladding materials used for the outer facades of buildings in Japan - materials that are wrapped around concrete walls and yet disembodied from the actual framework of the building.
