"Tokyo Art Book Fair 2010" is being held for three days from July 30 to August 1. The fair is being organized by Zine's Mate, which was founded by Hiroshi Eguchi, head of Utrecht, a center for publishing culture, and Oliver Watson, who runs the London-based magazine Paperback.

The fair is the only event of its kind in Japan for independent and self-publishing and zines. At the first fair last year there were over 150 exhibiting stores and book-sellers, and some 8,000 visitors.

During the period of the fair there will be many exhibitions and events. Please see the venue website for more.
