Sofu Teshigahara
Sofu Teshigahara (1927-2001) was the founder of the Sogetsu school of Ikebana flower arranging. He was also a practitioner of calligraphy and sculpture who left a mark on the world of postwar Japanese art. In addition to works by Teshigahara on loan from the Sogetsu Foundation and other pieces from the museum collection, this exhibition also showcases works by 20 artists who maintained close relationships with him and subsequent heads of the school.
