Saori Miyake's work focuses mainly on photography and drawing, but in recent years she has turned her attention to photograms, which are created by placing drawings done on transparent film and other objects to be depicted directly onto printing paper and exposing it to light without the use of a camera. Depicted in these works are dream-like worlds that seem to recreate memories from one's childhood. For Miyake, the process of making these photograms is akin to the process of casting molds or templates.
