The film history of countries around the world has been deeply influenced by works of literature. Japan is no exception - scriptwriters and directors have been inspired by literary texts over more than a century of filmmaking history. Drawing on the Film Center's rich collection of photographs, posters and original scripts, this exhibition shows how various literary works over the ages have been translated into film.
