Osamu Wataya "Juvenile"

Rat Hole Gallery
Finished

Artists

Osamu Wataya
Osamu Wataya, who pursued similar themes in his photo book "Childhood" published this March, captures the complex facial expressions of young adolescent boys and girls in his new series, "Juvenile". Although these children are impatient to assume adult roles, they still possess a certain innocence and naive behavior that is unique to puberty.

This is Wataya's first solo exhibition at Rat Hole Gallery in 3 years, following his "Rumor/Pond" show in 2007. An accompanying monography will also be published, featuring a text by photography critic Shino Kuraishi.
