Ryoji Ikeda
Ryoji Ikeda (born 1966) began his career as a musician in 1990. Since 1995, he has shown his sound art installations at concerts and exhibitions that make use of ultrasonic waves and frequencies in order to investigate how humans perceive time and space.
Ikeda's first solo show at Gallery Koyanagi will showcase a suite of video installations from his Datamatics series, new pieces from his V≠L series (based on the concept of mathematical infinity), as well as his new "time and space" series.
