"Vibrations of Entities" Exhibition

NTT ICC Inter Communication Center
Finished

Artists

exonemo, Takehito Koganezawa, Jio Shimizu, Formant Brothers, Kanta Horio, Oskar Fischinger
German animation artist Oskar Fischinger (1900-67), who worked on the early stages of the legendary Disney animated film "Fantasia", believed that everything had a soul that could be freed from its bodily form by making it "vibrate". This belief may have stemmed from the etymological origins of the word "animation" - "anima", meaning to breathe life into.
This exhibition features a selection of works that seem to have emerged from these invisible "vibrations".

See website for details on related lectures and screenings.
