Artists

Nobuyoshi Sakai
Nobuyoshi Sakai was born in Kamakura in 1944 and graduated from the graduate school of Tokyo University of the Arts. His works are careful depictions of visual images from memory, conveying not the physical appearance of something, but rather an emotional version of it, with tense, bristling forms and translucent colors. This exhibition features his newest works, ranging from landscapes of Nara and Mount Fuji to flowers and still lifes.
