Contemporary architecture today is attempting to break into the next stage of its development. Previously, the discipline was obsessed with how to prioritize functionality and practicality in residential, commercial and public buildings. In recent years, however, young Japanese architects have been remaking the urban spaces and environments of the city in innovative ways. This exhibition focuses on the work of the noted architect Sou Fujimoto in an attempt to consider the future of Tokyo and architecture in general.
