Takao Oshima
Takao Oshima left for France in 1995 and got his start as a photographer in Paris. Since then he has worked across both Tokyo and Paris, bringing the two distant cities together. Oshima has long been fascinated by portraits and urban landscapes. In treating both these subjects he has been interested in the contrasts between internal and external functions, organic and inorganic forms, and other similar oppositions.

On display at this exhibition are black and white portraits of actors, film directors, designers and DJs that Oshima met in both Paris and Tokyo, as well as color landscapes of these two cities.
