Seiichi Hara
Part of the Shonan artist series of exhibitions showcasing works from the museum collection, this exhibition features Western-style paintings by Seiichi Hara (1908-1986), who was born in Fujisawa. After having his work accepted by the Shunyo-kai for the first time in 1927, Hara began to focus on portraits and human figures. On display here are a variety of these oil paintings, as well as still lifes from the prewar era.
