Alfred Sisley, Henri Matisse, Claude Monet, Kiyochika Kobayashi, Claude Lorrain, Chu Asai, Eugène-Louis Boudin et al.
Features work from artists based in four key cities for the arts: Paris, Rome, Tokyo and Kyoto. The exhibition will explore the relationship between the city and art, including how artists engage with traditions, classic heritage, poverty and economic growth. Drawing on the Museum's 2,500-strong collection there will be works on display by Money, Matisse and Sisley, among others.
